The UN office in Lebanon planned, on February 1st, a relief benefit concert for the Tsunami disaster of December 26 that killed more than 300,000 people in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Maldives, Malaysia, Burma, and Bangladesh, all the way to some in Africa; and caused over 800,000 displaced.
The concert, organized by Michel Elefteriades, featured among the most prominent
artists of the Arab world – Marwan Khoury, Nancy Ajram, Melhem Zein, Miriam Fares, Amal Hijazi, Ramy Ayache, Wadih el Safi©, Hanine©, Tony Hanna© and the Chehade Brothers©.
All benefits went to the ones in distress.
